Just got this msg from kiwi Bob ie Al Jessie boxes. I dont if similar has been posted before but appologies if it has.

Hi Ian,
I am back in the office and catching up on work. I know I have answered your e-mail but I will go through it again as I was using the web-mailing system (I hope it was working OK)
The 1200GS has had a problem with vibration in the rear seat frame making a real problem for all topbox manufacturers (including BMW) with lots of cracks in boxes and mounts.
BMW have now cured this (I hope) with the new 1200Adv rear Rack. This rack can also be installed on the GS and provides a secure mounting point for topboxes etc.
The OLD range of topboxes are no longer available and the 52l Safari box will be available in 4 to 8 weeks. This will have a quick release system (quick-click) which will attach to the BMW Adv. rear rack. Al. Jesse is also planning to make a copy of this rack.
I have no pricing info at this stage.
Another option is to use a solomount and place the topbox over the rear seat. This is really good for weight distribution but only in solo riding.
I'm sorry I can't give you pricing but I am still awaiting this info from the USA.
