If you park up near a major site (Eiffel tower for instance) and you have an immobiliser, like a Datatool System 3, you may not be able to unlock it as the French police use jammers on the same frequency as the blipper. £ of us last year, 2 system 3 users and both were unable to switch off. Workround: place you body between the monument and the bike and hold the blipper RIGHT NEXT to the sensor - eventually it works.

Who told you it was French police jammers? What are Les Flics jamming? Surely not poor Brits' security devices? If so, the War on Terror is definitely getting out of hand.

It happens around payage booths (with large radio masts)....top of Mont Ventoux....car parks.....and assorted other locales....en la belle France and throughout Europe.....

.....easiest answer of all? Ditch the bloody Datatool device.
