Topping up with Total??

My GS1150 has 8500 miles on it and currently has Shell Advance 10W-40 motorcycle oil in it. It needs topping up and I have a litre of Total Quartz 7000 10W-40 synthetic based in my garage. Would it be ok to use this for topping up or should I stick with what is in the engine. Thanks in advance guys, Ricky.
