Torque settings

Just fitting TT 35mm handle bar risers and I found on the internet at F650 UK a torque setting of 50 newtons...... I applied this and promptly snapped the first bolt (stretched it )...... whilst I wait to order a new bolt from TT does anyone know what I should set the bolts too??? Presumably TT dont want to say or they would have included it on the fitting instructions

Q. What do I torque those nuts back to when tightening? Do I have to put them on a special way? Is one supposed to go on first, face a certain direction? And what is that shaft called that connects the handlebar mounts to the triple clamp?
The Torque table gives those nuts as:
- Nuts to handlebar mount 10Nm,
- Locknuts to handlebar mount 50Nm but the second seems VERY high Check the Manual.

not sure what you are looking at

I am looking at fitting some handle bar risers nothing more difficult than that however it is not easy to find the correct torque settings as as usual there is conflicting suggestions I can however negate the above as 50 newtons does not work
