Hi.

Can anyone suggest a way of torquing this nut while still allowing access to the stud. A normal socket and torque wrench cover the stud.

A special torque wrench? Is there such a thing?

Thanks.

Russ.

Try an open ended crows foot spanner. these have a 1/2 inch drive hole to fit ratchets and an open end spanner on the other end. They are about 2 inches long so if you use the lowest torgue setting given you should be ok. Try Halfords or other tool supplier if funds allow snap on will definately do them.

Keith.

Thanks for the info.

What you describe is pretty much what I made in work by cutting an old ring spanner in half and welding a socket to the handle.

Russ.
