The first time i done the Gyr the guys on bikes could not keep up with us..
I'll never forget the frist run down that river in 1993....God it was fast..done it again late in the evening once...never again...we was lucky very lucky :eek: :thumb
 
yes i know what you mean sometimes once is enough, have a second go and not always a happy ending. Just spent the day rafting on the mighty Nene white water course not quite the same but great fun. :thumb

Check out Alte Wolf's post dated 21.08.05 entitled Germany/Austria you will see a little bit of the Eagles nest,this was a trip he and I did last year FANTASTIC it was to and as you will see the photography isn't bad either :D

This will give you a taste for making the effort to get there

n85 route napoilion is not a million miles from there just a word of caution a lot of the swiss passess are still shut well into june
the theree famouse ones are grimsel sussten and furken last we were there two were still shut and had to use the tunnel at charmonies whith was about twenty quid...eddy got a fine in there so keep it down ..if you have to use it since the fire ?
we got accross the one that went to andematt there was a huge galcier running in the valley well worth a look
