Over the past few days of solid riding in the rain I have gotten severely annoyed with my Tour X misting up. Has anyone got a solution to the problem. I don't want to go back to my old smelly Shark for the winter!!!

Help :tears

I tried a Fog City when the Tour X first came out but found that due to the tight curve of the visor it seemed to distort vision at night.
Perhaps they're ok now?

I just polish the inside with cream soap.

Has anyone got a solution to the problem.

I had this problem for quite a while.
Tried an insert but found that after a lot of usage the visor started steaming up in between.
After lots of trips to the airing cupboard to warm glue up and re press down I got fed up.
Tried the Arai nose guard which was ok until the weather got very cold. (Got one if anyone wants to try it)
I have fitted a repsol foggy mask and hey presto.
As the song goes "I can see clearly now .... "

The less ventilation the more steaming up is a problem. Only solution is a double visor - but you'll pay the high royalty demanded by the patent holder.

a potato might help

It has been said that rubbing a freshly sliced potato on the inside of the visor prevents fogging up.
But................ Not that you'd see through it tell :augie :D

A properly vented helmet with double-glazed visor
cough cough let the pelting begin ............
System 5 -unbeatable IMHO :thumb2
Never leaks, never fogs up, soupa comfy, took a direct hit on armco at 60mph after striking ground twice -no injuries- Can't speak highly enough of it. But..I admit it isn't as cool looking- but it's cooler to wear!
Yez make yez choices :D

Tour X, pinlock, CAT CRAP, Fogtech

I have just got back from the NEC Bike Show and I have discovered that Arai are going to bring pinlock to the Tour X in about April. They had a demo one in the stand which looks good. That should solve the misting problem I've got. Also, the Arai breath guard is NOT a solution to the misting problem. It does keep your nose and mouth warmer in this current chill. It also scratches my forehead each time I put the helmet on.

Also, have got some Cat Crap and some Fogtech from some paintballing places and going to try it tomorrow.
