has anybody any experience good or bad with the Arai Tour x in everyday riding, cheers, George

My current fav summer lid. makes normal full face seem claustraphobic (spell?) though mists too easily in damp/rain etc. Leaving visor up gets too much rain on inside and at a certain raised position the curve of the visor distorts view so back on with Roof daytona whilst it wet. Other issue is over 80mph+ (where allowed m'lud) the peak gets pulled about by the breeze.

If you have got rid of the buffeting from the screen (torbinators etc) the tour X is a brilliant helmet for summer use at speeds at which the GS would normally exist. Don't however look up at aeroplanes.

was going to buy schberth with drop down dark sun visor ,but it did not feel comfi, realy liked tour x .best place to buy ?

I've used one for six months. Been off road with goggles and peak touring France and with the peak off with visor. I love it and find it comfy, with great peripheral ( spelling ? ) vision, so much so that when I've worn my shoei x-ceed, I've wanted to put the Arai on. Can't comment on wet weather but with the peak off with visor, it's fine at high speed. Highly recommended.

Agree with most of the above, comfy, stylish, good ventilation,it's an Arai so it's gonna be safe,it's reasonably quiet (I'm spoilt here as my other lid is the whisper quiet ROOF Diversion) though for distances ear plugs are a must, anti fogging is not a problem as I fitted a "fog city hyper optics" insert from day 1,;)
Echo the sentiments about aerodynamics, when riding at speed, plane spotting or over the shoulder life savers can allow the wind to catch the peak-nothing scary though :D
Go for it!

good helmet, though the seal around the visor is pants - lets in rain and 'orrible drafts!! Otherwise a very cool helmet indeed. Also works well on sports bikes - much quieter than I thought it would be!!

Forget all the technical babble!
Tour Cross kicks ass in the cool stakes. It looks the biz and thats all that matters. Make sure you get a black visor too;-))
Pat.
p.s. You will need a Savanna jacket/trews and Sidi Courier boots to complete the ensemble, the buff and GS gloves are also de rigeur...

Oh Pat, don't you know Savannah is sooo last Tuesday, you really need to be seen in Rallye 2 jacket and pants.

Oh and those who wear Tuareg, sorry but no one will believe it was anything other than a 20 quid BMF show purchase :D
