They are very good. They lie in between the standard Tourance, which seem to last forever, and the Tourance Next, which inspire confidence, grip very well, but don't last as long as the Std or the Exp. I also find that the Next's tend to 'track' a bit - they seem to want to follow white lines & ruts.
I found them a fine road tyre. Gripped a bit better and wore a little quicker than standard Tourance, not as good on gravel and other loose surfaces but again only by a bit.
Regarding Tourance NEXT. They are fantastic in dry and wet conditions. The best allround tyres I ever tried so far. Much happier than with EXP. Rear one changed out a month ago. First one lasted around 8500 miles (1500 more than EXP). Front still at 2mm with good 10k miles on it. Handling still very good. Can only recommend...
P.S. Run them with F 36 / R 42 psi.
I'm currently running Nexts. I find them a bit tippy / nervous. For me, this a Bad Thing. Others may rejoice in such characteristics.
Also, as others have mentioned, they tramline.
For those requiring a more macho(!) tyre, there's always these:
