Tourance Next or the bike ?

I found the exact same on the test ride. Enduro mode gave the best throttle, suspension and lack of electrical interference, allowing you to throw the bike around. Had a wag from the bars, but only because I hit a crest in the road whilst cranked over and "on" the throttle

My old 1150 with the "planted" front wheel will shimmy over cats eyes in the wet with TKCs on. It's those things that make us realise we aren't driving the car

Yep... For me, enduro mode, ESA one up - hard, 5th gear and a good A road = Heaven!!!! Once I get a better tyres...... It'll be even more fun..

Sadly put the bike in the garage yesterday and that's where she'll sit for the next six weeks ...

I've done just shy of 5000 miles and rear tyre looks like not much left in it. Previously on Tourance I was getting 8000/9000 miles. I will replace with NEXTs but would like a bit more miles from my tyres

The old Tourances certainly lasted well but never felt anywhere near as good as the new ones - I guess they made the new ones just that bit 'sportier' than the old ones. The new ones feel bloody nice to me and I am on convinced they are 200% better than the old ones in the wet.

Tyres are very much a personal thing though and it is impossible to convince someone that a tyre is great if they just don't feel it the same way as you.

Aye, there is plenty of shite written about tyres. I've only ever had one tyre that I would happily have exchanged for hard plastic and thet was the deathwing bridgestones. OK in the dry, thoroughly scary in the wet. I've never met anyone who thought they were a good tyre.
Used to get the exhaust down on a GPZ750R wearing ME99 and ME33 tyres, that was 20 years ago. The Isle of Man was lapped at 116mph average on the very ame tyres (not by me!!).

My old Tourances had no chicken strip on them, so they were as good as they needed to be until I learn how to use the sidewalls

70s Brdigestone Nylons were fitted as standard on many Japanese bikes, I had them on my KH250, they had zero grip but lasted for a gazillion miles.

I had them on my TS250.... fell off at just about every roundabout that had a sniff of bus diesel
