Tourance Tyres

Hi,

I am after some advice if possible. I need to get a new set of tourance tyres for my GS1200, anyone know a good supplier in the Cardiff area ?

I got a pair of tyres for my R1150GS from this place just off City Road:
Aberdare & Merthyr Tyres, corner of Bedford St & Northcote Lane, Roath
They will only fit to loose wheels.

Decent chap in Barry. There is a post some time back with details. I think 2 Wheel Humvee posted it. I think he rides a Bandit, so understands bikes.
I use Wayne Bowen in Treorchy. Not the cheapest but excellent service, and the tea flows freely.

Can he balance GS wheels though...I might try this fella tomorrow (sorry to hijack thread), I've got a pair (well two actually, can't resist a bargain) waiting to be fitted.

Round and black hoops

I managed to get a set of Avon Distanza's from a company called Round and Black. Found them on Ebay, sold very good tyre better than Metzelers at least all for £120 sovs, delivered next day for £6. Got me sorted!

A&M don't have the wheel balance adapter.

I'm pretty sure that MG does: he's got a very well equipped van apparently.

After loads of quotes and calls the cheapest I could really get was £170ish a set + postage/feul to collect + fitting roughly £10 a loose wheel. M&G Newport £205 fitted at the house on a Saturday B4 one. Ride in Ride out type of thing fully balanced/valves etc and plus he's a biker(what does dry weather biker mean ). Works for me. Now don't go telling me ewe can get em cheaper as it's to Fecking Late

I was going to say I have a spare set of unused Tourances but they are the lower speed rated ones, only suitable for the 1150 I think. Got two sets from the lovely lady in Germany. If you know someone who wants them for their 1150.....well....I'll have to pay up again and put them in the right section!!
Still haven't got my set fitted
