While we're on Tyres.....i want a rant......

'No, I'm sorry, we cant tell you what tyres your Adv will come in with because BMW cant be seen to favour any particular manufacturer....so we dont know what it'll come in with until it arrives.'

GUSSET!!!!!!

No...worse than that....its a pile of Jobbies that's what it is!!!

just take a foto of Bakes Full monty and tell the bloke if he doesnt change the tyres, it´ll be his gob and not the donut! that should move things along to a mutually acceptable settlement...

If you do find Tourances or Anakees in Wiltshire I will be interested in where you get them from.

I also use the tourances on my 1100GS and get about 6/7000 from them depending on the riding

I last got my tyres in London from Watlins Tyres Catford, a pair came to about £170 which seemed very cheap. I travel regularly to London so may go there again unless there is somewhere cheaper around here.

If you commute from the Cotswolds to London then you might want to try one of the branches of this firm http://www.superbiketyres.com/ . I've used the Witney branch. They are very efficient. One of the few tyre places I've seen a torque wrench in use.

Also, in Gloucester, there is Tyresales (advertise in MCN as 2 Wheel Tyre Services which is what the B'rum branch is caled). Rid in ride out service. Next door to Glos Rugby in Kingsholm. 01452 525991.

Just coming up to 10,000 miles on my tourances and reckon I can get another 1000 or so miles before they will need changing, I like them, a dam site better than the trailwings which were fitted to the bike when i purchased it.

Maybe it's the tarmac..................

or maybe it's the great mountain roads here in Wales,
I'm with ming and andy leet on this one,.......only 6k from my rear tourance but I wouldn't give a xxxx for any other tyre:rolleyes:

Tourance it is then.....

Looks like Tourance is the one to go for...Just hope they are up to hoooooning around 'cause I still havn't grown up (or should I say been caught!!!! yet). Quite liked the trailwing but I suppose it's a 'biker thing' 'cause it doesn't seem to matter what you run there' always something different to try......
Thanks for replies guys, new rubber on its' way
Cheers
