Whilst inspecting my tyres recently I noticed hairline fissures/cracks in the the tread wells on the edges of the front tyre ( about 5000 miles old)

These are more prevalent on the offside edge (nearly every tread well) than the nearside (intermittent).

B*W Dealer says they're perfectly OK but this is my third set and I've not noticed them before to this extent.

Anybody got any views?

Trip coming up soon so need mind putting at rest or new tyre.

I noticed the same on my 6K old tyre.

So i replaced it!

Why take a risk for the sake of £70 quid or so?

I always think of racers who change there tyres for nearly every race at a cost of £hunderds for each tyre.

Not sure if this happens a lot as i've only had the bike for 7 weeks and used BT020s on previous bikes.
