Touratech Crashbars

I need to add some crashbars to my 1150GS. The touratech ones look seem and seem good value for £180.

Has anyone fitted these? Are they any good? Are they as easy to fit as it looks? Any reason I should buy the H&B instead?

It says only two bolts need removing for servicing which shouldn't be problem.

I like the way they wrap around the cylinder heads. In chrome for about £125 from Motoworks mail order.

I've bitten the dust with mine quite a few times now and they work! Easy to demount for oil changing as well.

If you want the best protection buy AND FIT* H&B bars. If you're going for aesthetic appeal MBW Adv bars look lovely (as lovely as any angular metal bars do on an already pug ugly bike).










* I say AND FIT as people have been known to buy bars and leave them in the garage until after they've had need for them (DAMHIK)

I shall be purchasing a set of H & B engine bars myself soon though , the best available , apparently !

I just phoned Motorworks and at £105 for the H&B crashbars it's a bargain. I think Black will look best!

I fitted the H&B silver version (from Motorworks). A little more expensive than the black at £115 I think.
The silver is a good match for the engine (presuming you've a silver engine!).
This is a silver paint finish not chrome.

The bike is Graphitan.

It tells you all you need to know about fitting H&B bars along with Simon's excellent fitting guide.

Stoney, there are some pictures of the bars in black.

Richie.. you will see an append from emjay saying the bars add 1.5 inches per side with an overall width of 32.5 inches.
I haven't checked that myself but sounds right to me.
