TOURATECH headlight protector

Hi GUYS I have just put the TOURATECH headlight protector on my new 1200 gs wc can you tell me is it meant to be louse ware the grill connects to the bracket the 4 screws that go in to the black rubber grommets.

I am sorry I don't no what RTFM is.
I got the instructions. And I think i have fitted them right but I still have a loose grill all 4 screws that go from the grill in to the black plastic grommets are too long so cant tighten grill to bracket but it may be the way its meant to be

What does it look like on the bike? Does it obsure the LED light in anyway? Happy with the product (aside from the fitting difficulty!).

Notice most people seem to have gone for the clear type...
