I will have to eat my words of about a month ago and say that the Touatech Bracket is the Biss, for the SP III

I could not see the point of a lockable bracket, because of all the scum bags, but then I forgot, you have to stop for petrol and other things, when the bikes in view but you wouldn't want to leave anything unlocked in case anyone did a quick smash and grab

Also its much more secure on the bike, and at £500+, I feel a lot better.

Did 200 miles today, what a wonderful day, if it had been warmer it could have been the summer!!, in fact it was drier than our summer!!!.

No problem with the screen, could read quite well, but with sun glasses and the visor (Arai) down, screen blanked out, so had to rise the visor for a clear view.

noted thread from Mr Pilot about voice, and I suppose he's right but have already ordered the cable for the Autocom.

Tried the Autocom loom in the helment but couldn't have the speakers and my plugs (Ultimate) in as well, so I'm going to splash out and get some nice monitor ones from Dave at Ultimate for the Autocom,

This forum is costing me a fortune!!!!, looking forward to Poland.

My local BMW dealer reckoned it took him 45 secs to open it. Did`nt inspire confidence so I did`nt buy one.

Its worth the extra money

The price sounds alot but you are in fact only paying a bit more over the standard Touratech bracket. In all honesty if some ome wants it they will have it and thats a fact but it is a deterent for oportunistic thieves.
I think you have spent your money very well indeed.

Excellent choice......

Well Done.

Can you tell that I bought one for myself yet!!!!

AndyT;)

45 Secs

I won't leave it overnight or if I can't see the bike, but it's a lot more secure for normal work, and it did't blur once, so I'm happy with that,

and as I said originally some Scum Bag will have it regardless of any lock system, as they did with my phone and PDA from a deadlocked Mondeo, a right placed screwdriver and they were in and bypassed the alarm, so nothing is safe, the Basta*** should be hung drawn and quartered,

but instead they'll get a driving course or a mechanics course, which we PAY For.

I'll say no more, I'm sure everyone thinks the same!!!

Gary.

Gary:

So, you're planning to go to Poland with your SP in a lockable Touratech mount? Sounds like you need the "Italian Security Option" for the Touratech mount. See this link, look at the post made May 19th, 2003 (at the bottom of the screen): http://www.my-mc.com/messages/1/19775.html

I understand that the Polish Tourist Board's new advertising slogan this year is "Visit Poland, your car is already here..."
