Vee5:
There is a post in the
Zumo 660 sub-forum here that discusses the version 2 mount - here is the direct link to it:
Touratech ZUMO 660 V2 Mount.
I bought one, and although it does the job it promises to do, I'm really not so sure that I would buy it all over again if I had a second chance. The Garmin mount, by itself, does a very good job of holding onto the Zumo, and it is very easy to pop the Zumo out of the Garmin mount (one-touch... no fiddling around). So, if I had to do it all over again, I think I would just use the Garmin mount by itself, and remove the Zumo from the mount anytime I had any concerns about security of the device.
My suggestion to you is that you try using the Garmin mount by itself for a few weeks before you spring the money for the Touratech device. You might find that you could get "more bang for your buck" by spending the rather substantial amount of money that the Touratech mount costs on something else.
I'm not knocking the Touratech product in any way, I'm just saying that if it was a €50 product, I'd buy it again without thinking twice... but it's not €50, it's more like €150, and that is a lot of money for something that is a discretionary purchase.
I also got the impression that the Touratech mount (version 2) slightly degraded GPS reception (perhaps it partially blocks the antenna), so, you need to consider the possibility that you will need to fork out another €40 or so for an external antenna to attach to the Zumo if you get the Touratech mount.
Like I said before - ride a few weeks with the Garmin mount first, see if you can get along with just taking the device out of the mount and putting it in your pocket whenever you leave the bike unattended.
