Hi
I am just installing a zumo onto my gsa and not sure if I should use the mount from the beema dealers or by the touratech one. Some people are saying the vibration makes the gps difficult to read with the beema part and it is best to fork out for the touratech.
Has anyone any opinions on this?

I had a Nav 3 on the BM mount that goes onto the screen cross brace. At idle it shook around, but anywhere above it was ok. Made programming a bit of a faff, but the GPS seemed to perform ok.

Didn't try the TT version as it seemed a bit too much engineering for what I didn't think was a problem for the Nav 3. But if you believe TT then their mount is a necessity for the Zumo :mmmm

I used the standard one (which came with the Zumo) and did not have a problem with any vibration making the gps difficult to read, however I was P'd with the little screw thing to hold it in place, so I bought the touratech base unit with the key lock on it so much easier to take on and off - for me anyway:augie It is a big chunk of kit and takes up much more space!!!

Ive actually just ordered a TT lockable black one today, for those that didnt kmow you can fit a ram mount to the back and then it doesnt necessarily have to go on the brace of the bars.

The fitting instructions can be read here inc how to fit a ram mount which comes with the Zumo.

I've got the TT mount and extention bar on my GSA. Does wobble about a bit on tickover, but steady once moving. I like the fact that its directly in line of sight and can be left locked on when ever ya want..

I have the BMW mount on my 2007 GSA...no vibration problems whatsoever.

I changed the locking screw for a tiny finger tightened screw sold by some chap from Holland on a Garmin blog site......obviously not totally secure but much more convenient than the standard screw.
