can i have your opinions on the touratech and bmw tank bags for 1150 gs
thanks
Richard

I've got the TT one and the bmw bag doesn't look better to me.

Only smaller and a lot more expensive...

Cheers,
Michel

Baglux is best! :thumb :thumb

keeps your tank scratch free too, and everytime you swap bikes you can just buy a new harness and retain your bag collection. You can load the bags up with anything and they stay put, and from experience the baglux people send out replacement fittings ( ie: securing straps etc ) FREE of charge - now that is customer service.:clap :clap :clap

I quite like the BMW tankbag, though I haven't seen the T.T. one yet.
I got a good deal on mine when I bought the bike, 120 euros,(though I still think that's expensive for a tank bag!) as the one ( Oxford ) I'd brought with me when I picked the bike up didn't fit, consequently I was a bit stuck with my gear, without a bag  !
Having said that it looks well built and does it's job :) !

Had this discussion before-- if the customer service was good they would realise there was a problem with the parts that are always breaking and do something about it, not just keep sending out the same crap part !!!!!!!!!!!!!
---- bm tank bag for me, simple reason, it was £25 second hand.

:D

John I still use an Oxford Lifetime luggage tankbag that I bought for my Bandit 1200 a few tears back. It fits the GS tank okay. It;s red and that might not be too beautiful mixed with mandarin.. but who cares.. it works, it's waterproof with its little shower-cap!

Gericke Turag Large

Just seen that Gericke have put the large turag bag back in the catalouge! 54gbp - designed for gs/big enduro tanks. Have had one for 2 years and an excellent bit of kit. You can also get tank panniers for it!

Also they have started stocking Craft thermals - best thermals ever bought. Got mine in Slovenia and have been looking for a UK supplier ever since.

Touratech for me (VP45), no regrets here at all :thumb

Does the VP 45 fit the 1150 GSA? The TT catalogue states for F650 GS only.

Also are the mountings magnetic or straps.

Thanks
:P

You must've been looking t the F650GS specific one. Mine is the same as Migsels, even though he's on an ADV and I'm on an 1150GS. I also have a VP 45 harness on my R100GS PD which is a 35 litre tank jobbie no probs. All tank harness fittings are straps. Bag and side bags zip to tank harness

Agree

Agree all the way !!and I've used the same bag with 4 different tanks harness's on different bikes for the last 7 years , and never required a spare part.
9000 miles per annum , used weekly.
