Hi Chaps

Have any of you fitted the Tourtech progressive springs to your Dakars, If so in what way do they affect the handling and dont they make the rear suspension sag from the harder front shock.

Cheers

Yes

Makes it handle much much better (IMO), on and off road.

Nope

Ask Roy (Blue Sweeper) & E J Campbell Evans as Roys had them on his Dakar and E J has them currently.

Expect the same answers. Possibly the best bit of kit I put on my Dakar when I had it. That and the Touratech bigger footpegs - makes standing up much more comfortable & easier compared with the std ones.

I've just put in Touratech springs in my GS. A very good mod. :D It improves the front end a huge amount and makes it feel much more balanced with the rear shock in my opinion.

I rode a while without changing the fork oil (just sucked some out to the correct level) then put in SAE15 after a couple of weeks. If you are offroading a lot, you might find the SAE15 hardens the damping too much for your taste, so try running the springs with the standard oil in them first.
Money well spent PB
