On the road, for now:-)
Potentially ripped off............

recently I have noticed the rear hard part from T/T for the 1100 on ebay. A mate of mine bought this part for his bike new, and as such got new bolts with the kit.
On ebay I have seen the yellow plate parts for sale and have considered buying them, but having contacted the seller it appears that the bolts were not with the plates, so I thought I would leave it as it seemed pointless buying half the bits. I will wait until I have some spare cash and buy this part new I think, but could I use the old bolts??

Any ideas, just my luck that T/T have put prices up to, perhaps theyve not heard of recession.:type:JB

The new bolts probably have a slightly longer thread. A local engineering suppliers should stock fasteners for a very cheap price. :nenau

and other bits

Should come with spacers too these allow the frame to fit flush with the mount. If missing these might be a problem to get hold of.

I saw those yellow ones on ebay (first I've seen in six months of looking) and I did have the same thoughts in that they appeared to be the plates only with no fixing hardware. The bolts wouldn't be too much problem (I assume just slightly longer versions of those already fitted to allow for the thickness of the plate) but as Brian says, the spacers to allow interface with the subframe might be trickier.

Anyway, I should get my new ones from Touratech today or tomorrow (allegedly).
I'll take piccies of what you get.

Any chance you could measure the spacers before fitting and put a post on here Matt. At least that way anybody buying a used set in future could get a set made up for a few £ from a local machine shop if they need to.

No worries - will do.

Ebay

The plates on ebay the other day sold for about £70 quid, I contacted the seller and was told that the plates were the only bits he had. For that money I would rather buy new bits for piece of mind and shiney paint:Motomartin

Finally received my hard parts (ooh 'er missus).

The piccie attached shows what you get in the packet. The spacers referred to are 13mm o/d 10mm i/d, but you will only need either the 10mm long ones or the 25mm long ones (the subframe detail changed during the 1100's production). You'll need to inspect your subframe to work out which you need.

The washers are 14.5 o/d (not critical) and 10mm i/d and are 'heavy' (16swg / 1.6mm thick).

The complete fitting instructions / parts list are available for download from the product page in the Toratech webshop.
