Touratech Tank Capacity

I'm thinking about splashing out on a 41 litre Touratech tank but have been told that the usable capacity is less (36 litres ?).

Can any owners please confirm if this is correct. Also does the fuel gauge work properly with it ?

Mine holds and uses 41ltrs
My fuel guage is slightly out showing 4 bars when the pump starts
screaming.
Get a non return connecter for your balance pipe
