Touratech unbelievable!!

so the tale goes like this....... a guy sells unopened TT 35mm bar risers for BMW F650GS on fleabay,another guy buys them and whilst fitting snaps one of the bolts (dont ask )......so this guy back in November 2009 rings TT and says "can you replace the one bolt that is broken" - it is a stainless bolt about 45mm in length with a thread on the top to accept the smaller bolt to hold the heated grips switch.

Sooo after many calls to TT (as they had failed to recontact me) today I get the culmination of there 3 months work...." Yes we still havent got your bolt we have looked into it and we would have to charge you £17.00 to get this bolt from our German factory" - click brrrrrrr

I may even have one, if you're about tomorrow, which you could have in the short term and get me one next week

ah JB your too late ordered the £17 one from TT .....














not..... I am working tommorrow obviously this bolt is longer than the original one provided as risers are extra 35mm will BMW still be able to supply one ??

BMW wont supply one. Their bolts are too short as you say. Go get yourself a socket cap screw that has the sam length as the others. The black plastic pad can easily sit on 3 screws.

CHeers that's what I did 3 months ago as a temporary fix looks like it will be a permanent one

Have heard the Americans have a saying that "Touratech" is German for "Backordered"

but yet the german shop is fine.

i am amazed how bad the retailers are compared tot he main supplier.

thankfully i dont have touratech in ireland so get to use the german dealer as they seem to have parts in stock all the time

I am still waiting for a call back about a second hand ADV Screen they were selling - That was last july !!!!!!

Given up now as the guy was a g-t.
