An update from 20th October - there no longer seems to be a time restriction on access from Bareges, although it was Sunday.

Road is loose gravel / broken tarmac surface in places, a couple of 100-200m stretches. Not a problem for GS, obviously, but others might need to take care

They are laying new tarmac this week, so expect there to be some restriction, unfortunately it difficult to find out information.
