Towing with a GS

I'm expecting a whole load of 'you can't/ shouldn't/ etc' comments.....

Has anyone fitted a towbar to their GS?

I surf, and rather than arsing about with making sure the wife doesn't need the car for the day etc, I'd like to be able to transport my surfboard on a lightweight trailer.

Lighting etc should be simple enough, it's just how/ where to fit a towbar, and wondering if anyone else has done it?

Looking at the cost of importing them I'm going to have to try to come up with a homegrown solution........

Why not just get an inflatable surfboard ? loads of types available with a quick internet search ! I have an inflatable white water canoe by Gumotex and its brill ! the technology is way ahead of a few years ago and these 'craft' are not toys - easy to transport even on a bike, durable, more rigid that you would think, easy to store. just do a bit of research and get a good quality one - similar price to decent quality normal craft.

Regardless of the improvement in quality, IMO, they will never be as good as my minimal or short board, which I already own.

I have a sevylor inflatable kayak, and whilst ok for pottering about in, it's very different to my other kayaks.
