Toys!

I used to race a 1/10th scale 2 speed serpent many years ago (65-70mph) but that was a tarmac racer. Then changed to a Turbo Burns 1/8th scale 4WD monster. Twas properly quick and superb fun. Never been keen on pull starts though as a load of the guys han problems with them breaking.
Best to find a local club though as it's far more fun to race against other people (especially if you win!!!!!).
If you get one running right they are ace, if you get a bad one though they can be a real pain.Bit like GS's really.

Yeah, I've got an MT-2.

The savage is a bit of a beast - pretty robust (read - higher-speed impacts) but it's also just a bit too heavy for real off-road stuff; handles like a dog on any tarmac tracks.

You need some form of "track" for sustained enjoyment of these toys. Screaming it across Rugby pitches or car parks becomes boring very quickly, and then unfortunately one begins to put ramps and obstacles down . . . until you crash it.

And beware of the add-ons - camel pack batteries, safe-stops, upgraded transmissions, suspension upgrades . . . . and then there's cleaning it.

Stick to a GS then you'll not have any of the above issues.

Cheers,

Neil.
