Hi all, just recently the TPM on my bike has started taking 4-5 miles to start reading the rear tyre pressure. The front reads before I even get off my road but the rear just has the dashes and then springs into life 5 miles later (most of those 5 miles are spent above 50mph) it does there same in the evening after work as well front works quickly then rear catches up 5 miles later. Anything I can check to get this working properly again? Had a search but couldn't find anything specific.

Bike is a 2011 TC GSA.

Cheers
Ben

Probably the battery in the wheel sensor is on the way out.

The TPM batteries can be changed. Carefully dig out the potting putty solder in a new battery and reseal with electronics grade silicone. Batteries can be got on eBay for a few quid complete with solder tags.

Cool cheers, job for next time the tyre is changed.
Funnily enough it took a bit longer on the way home today and the orange warning triangle came up for a while.

Mine have had wobbly batteries for some time (forgot to do them last tyre change). Sometimes they read low and throw up the warning so best to carry a pressure gauge.

Cheers, mine are always spot on...... Once they start reading ;) will chuck a pressure gauge in my jacket pocket when I get home today though :)
