Did my first track day on Monday at Brands Hatch (the smaller indy circuit) and much-o humour it was too! :D :D Booked through Bike magazine it was well organised and instructors were on hand to dish advice if you wanted it.

I had the only beemer there, and the only big trailie. Didn't do so bad in corners but everyone disappeared on the straight bits! Trailwings now rather shredded but given the level of abuse they held up pretty well, certainly enough for each 20 minute session.
I learnt a lot about how the bike handles and how far I can push it, and Brands is an awesome circuit to ride round, even in its baby brother form - Paddock Hill bend never failed to raise a smile! Over the course of the day three or four bikes left the circuit for the grass/kitty litter - one Aprilia looked a borderline write-off.
Very glad I did it, but if I do another one it would be on a beemer-specific day, when similar bike speeds would make the day more interesting!:p

Now, where did I put those knee sliders......?
