my zumo keeps deleting the track of where i have been. i work as a motorcycle instructor and each time i go round the town the blue track line has been deleted. is it just me doing something wrong or do all the 660 units do this
cheers for any help guys

Seems odd if it's every trip. The 660 should archive, so plug it into a PC & download the archived logs to a PC. Doubt if you can look at these on the unit once archived.

Is the option to show/hide trip log [TOOLS>SETTINGS>MAP>TRIP LOG] being reset to "hide" every time you start it. I think this failure to remember preferences was a feature of firmware ver 2.70, but is not the case in ver 2.80.

ok gents, just been over to the isle of man and still got the same problem with the tracking. the unit only shows so much blue line then it dissapears. thought i would leave it till i got home and plug it into laptop and see if it had stored all the tracks but just didnt show on the unit. guess what only about forty to fifty mile worth of track shown on laptop.i am working on version 2.80 and the unit keeps showing what bit of track it remembers everytime you switch it on

I've got the same problem. When I choose to show all segments, the screen shows no track at all. If I choose single segments, some show, some don't :nenau

:D

I don't really need to use tracks -they're just there for interest - so I'll wait until the next software update and hope that fixes it...

I thought this was happening to me as well, but I found some files in the unit named
1.gpx, 2.gpx, and 3.gpx ...

When I opened these up on the PC using mapsource (rememmber to open the .gpx files) they had the tracklogs contained within.

Would give a bit more detail but this was a week or two ago.

The Files can be found in the folder...
Garmin Zumo/Garmin/GPX/Archive
They automatically number in sequence.
Just copy them across to your PC.
