Trail riding for beginners - 11 August 2013

So it was just the two Daves, Tom and me.

Dave & Dave waiting at the end of the first lane:

Tom tries Latchford No1 ford. All is well!

Tom recovered and enjoyed the rest of the day. Thanks for the company guys!

Great day.

Really enjoyed taking the 990 off road for the first time.

Dont know how i managed to completely trash my rear tyre.

The picture of the gs nearly submerged made me laugh, both of us just standing looking at it.

Great ride out today. Really enjoyed it despite getting a bit wet.

Photo of both of us looking at my drowned bike made me laugh as well. Deserves a caption. Thanks guys for helping me get it upright and back onto dry land. Amazing that it still started on the button.

Well done Greg for organising it :clap

Keep me in mind if this happens again...

As a total beginner on a GSA I'd love to get my feet wet, should I do the Pavey course first, or would you be gentle :eek ?!

You won't go wrong doing the Pavey course, but, this time of year, most of the trails are pretty dry and much easier to ride.

There are, however, some exceptions ....

I meant both metaphorically and literally, however I'm happy to stay dry whilst dipping my toes into the water.
I think I may have overextended that somewhat....

:blast

I shall try to save up the necessary for Wales!
