Just been for a night test ride on the Airhead now fited with an X Challange headlight and a Trialtech SCMR16 HID light which has a built in ballast, draws 30 watts, weights 13 ounces and delivers 5600K, 2400 foot candles, 26000 Lux in a 12° beam angle.
I reckon I need to fit a 50%+ H4 bulb in the XC headlight but the HID works well - I found it best to leave the XC side light only and just use the HID which is good as it only takes 30 watts
Pic's are low beam, high beam and high beam with HID - although the HID has a handle bar mount I've used this modfied to attach to the side of the XC light
