I have plotted two routes on Mapsource V.6 and then transferred them to a 128mb Garmin Data Card (I think, at least I followed all the directions:confused: ). The data appears to transfer ok:mmmm - it takes long enough. When I turn on the Street Pilot 3 Deluxe and go to routes there are no saved routes available:confused:

Where am I going wrong?

Any help gratefully received:thumb :thumb

Interface leads for SPIII

To transfer routes and waypoints you need to have the serial interface cable plugged connected between the PC and the SPIII.
Maps are transferred via the Data Card programmer and routes/waypoints via the data port cable.
The manual is not explicit on this point.

If you have not got a RS232 serial port on your PC then you will have to pick up an RS232-->USB converter (from e-bay for example).

Agree you need to transfer the route by connecting with the serial cable.

Sorry, its been a couple of years since I had an SPIII but routes and waypoints should be transferred to the unit using the cable - not the card. The card just holds the maps. Been there - and made that mistake. :o
