transmission noise gs adv

hard to descibe this without hearing anyway here goes - in fourth gear around 3k to 3.5k revs about 40 to 50 mph i find the transmission to be a bit erratic - you know a sort of vvvvvvrmm vvvvvvrmm monotonous and slightly jerky feeling - speed up or shift up and she seems to be fine - is this normal or am i expecting too much finesse from the gearbox

also in mine ADV the 4th gear has a vibration and a noise.....

My Adventure had a similar problem,no vibration-as such,but 4th gear Whine (high pitched noise) when accelerating from low-ish speeds (30-50mph) I complained to my dealer,they pronounced it fit and well,6 months later I complained again (noise had grown louder) and I had a replacement gearbox.
If your bike is in warranty,take it back to them and complain

Mine too. Since I have the low 1st and 6th speed box, I thought it was due to that, but obviously not. I haven't heard anyone with a normal GS have the same issue though. In any case it's not that bad.
