Trials Riding in August

Hi All, looking for a bit of info. Thought I'd try here, there ain't no better than local knowledge.

Myself and my mate are doing the Dougie Lampkin trials school on the 7th and 9th of August and we're looking for somewhere near Silsden to practice on Saturday 8th. We're also staying on in the area until Tuesday and I was wondering are there any good trial routes we could do. We haven't booked any accommodation so some advise on that would be helpful also. We like our luxury so somewhere with a pool and sauna would be great.

Loads of options!

Brendan -- If you are booked into Dougie's course I'm sure that they will be able to arrange for you to have access to Addingham Moorside, just above Silsden & probably where the course will be based, at least in part.

The surrounding area is littered with both legal and illegal practice grounds, and again, if you talk to the course organisers they'll give you a choice from which to make a selection.

Failing all else, if I'm not booked out I'd be happy to introduce you to some of the grounds I use - some would require a payment (£10) - most are free.

Give me a call nearer the time and I'll do my best to help.

As for accommodation, again you have many options - cost being the issue - again, give me a call and let me have an idea of what you want to pay, what you consider as priorities and I'll point you in some of the the likely directions.

Pillock!

I've managed to block my SIM card & Vodafone will take until Wednesday/Thursday next week to get a replacement out to me on the Isle of Man.
