Is it ok to use these on the f800 gs? Something like an optimate or similar i have in mind, is it worth getting one?

I've had an optimate, currently use an Oximiser 900 and had a Lidl cheapie as a spare.


Replaced the OE battery on my 1200 after 9 years, although it never failed and keep it as a spare.

Other folk will tell you they are the spawn of Satan.

I use a C TEK multi XS 0.8 12 v smart charger through the winter.....seems to do the job nicely

Use Optimate 4 as this is CANBUS compatible. Earlier models aren't. Not had any issues over last couple of years on my 650 twin. Just set up and plug in to tank power socket

as far as i know any optimate will work connected across battery thats how i use mine with no probs

What he said, make sure it is the BMW Canbus compatible one or it won't work right. I sell them in my shop so if you want a deal on one then let me know???
