Hi all
I'm off to Munich for a work conference for 2 days in May and I thought it would be nice to go on the bike and have it available for riding to+from the conference and round the locality between meetings. However, 2 days of blasting down over 700 miles of motorway (from Reading) just doesn't do it for me somehow, so I was wondering if there is some way of getting me+the GS to within spitting distance of Munich, say Stuttgart or Nurnberg, then I can ride round the smaller (=more fun) roads. Or would it be better to fly directly to Munich and hire a bike locally? Is there such a thing as BMW bike hire in Germany?
I wondered about taking the bike on a train; that might be a neat way of doing it.
Dave.
