TT tankbag waterproof?

Are TT tankbags water proof? I read they are water repellant, but what does that mean. I intend to buy the camera tankbag and would like to be able to ride in the rain without damaging my equipment. Any advice?

Waterproof?

I bought the waterproof cover for mine and can say with the cover on its never leaked! I didn't think the bag on its own with video and digital cameras in would be 'water repellant' enough!

No. It does hold off ingress for a while though.

Buy the optional extra cover and then make sure it's well tucked up under the leading edge of the bag otherwise water still seeps in.
