I've got a Hien Gericke Tuareg jacket (the grey and white one- commonly know as a Stormtrooper jacket I believe)
Its got grubby through the winter and has just been washed according to the instructions but the white bits on the front still look grubby - has anyone else experienced this and if so how do I get it back to gleaming white -ish!! ?

Get some stuff called Vanish - I chuck mine in the washing machine at 30c and it comes out looking almost new .

im like a little kid watching all the water going black...

hasnt shrunk, melted etc...and is very clean after...

Agree , I use this on my Aerostitch kit

The Tech Wash stuff is pretty good too. I also use the their wash in proofer on all my textile gear including the Tuareg, helps the water "bead" off rather than acting like a sponge.

Ta!!

Thanks guys! Is the 90' wash for real or what?

Mark - funny you should say that ! just got back today from a run and fell off going through this one (see attachment) at Ripon - its as slippy as f**k. Had to wait for a friendly local lad to go and change his shoes to give me a lift up with the beast! thankfully no damage whatsoever - except my pride - as I'm off to Europe tomorrow with Swooper and Peter Perfect.

I hope you wash it before we meet you in the Ardennes ! Can't have you looking all scruffy and letting the side down :D
