On a long trip, taking spare tyres takes up a lot of weight. I carry a stop & go plug set but, is it worth taking a set of tubes as a back up?
Especially as I'm travelling through the Middle East Syria and Turkey before reaching Europe were tyres are more readily available of the shelf.

Cannot it be done?

You can fit tubes as a get you there measure if you have a bad or larger puncture. Biggest problem can be breaking the bead to fit the tube.

The car boys always claim that fitting tubes in tubless tyres is dangerous ? but if its just a temp measure to the nearest repair place then should be OK
