I had a Booster Plug in my 2010 TC and, to be honest, not convinced I could see that much difference between before and after. Had one on my K1600GT, too. Same result.
Hilltop is well known and regarded on the forum. But does involve a trip there and a bit more outlay.
I picked up a Power Commander on eBay, brand new, in the box for £155. They regularly appear in the for sale section on the forum, too. When people upgrade to a WC they usually sell them on. Something you can't do with a Hilltop remap.
Plug and play and makes an incredible difference to the bike. Much more smoother and flexible than stock. Could have left it alone, but, you know how it is.
I uploaded the European Standard map to mine. According to Dynojet who make it, our fuel burns more efficiently as it doesn't contain any Ethanol(?).
Frankly, I didn't expect to notice any difference, But its even better!
I de catted a spare set of fronts but kept the standard silencer and the power valve. Couldn't be bothered removing it and it works ok.
Motorrad in Germany did a recent test on various aftermarket silencers and found no real performance advantage over stock. Unless its the noise you're after.
Now its smooth, torquey and, thanks to the de cat, revs like a nutter to the red line. Fuel consumption may be fractionally better than standard. I love this bike!
Recommended. Never tried a Hilltop bike but I'm sure they are a good job, too. Similar idea to a PCM.
