I know it looks a bit but the ones in the pictures are not the usual traffic police.
Traffic control etc is not even in their jurisdiction.
They are the quick-response teams used by the metropolitan police department. They just patrol the city 24-hours and respond in case of a major criminal act (robbery in progress etc.) They always work in two-man teams, one negotiates the bike through the traffic, and the other shoots on the go! I have seen them do so before, hell, i have even seen one keeping the bike right side-by-side with a thief on a moped while the other kicked the guy sideways, sending the ba***rd and his scooter tumbling down the road. Nobody messes with them here.
