23 Sep. Pity the rain got worse and worse as the morning went on. Second track session of the year. Roll on sunshine in 2012! Intermediate group - and I lapped a Fireblade in the wet :D And I'm a wuss.

First pic shows me having out braked my lad into the hairpin (ok that's an outright lie) GPS gave me 102 max under the bridge while he could see 120+ with traction lights flashing (nice bullet cam footage)
The track bike guys with racing wets and tyre warmers where pretty fearless too.

Second pic shows me about to pack in and go home with my boots full of water.

Cheap. Nasty. But lined so kept me dry. Except around my cuffs. First thing I could lay my hands on that morning before the rain started :)

Your legs would stay drier if you'd bin that plastic coal scuttle on the back wheel. All it does is send a jet of cold, dirty water at the back of your left leg.

Which tyres were you on? I've done Knockhill once on the GS on a set of Deathwings which in practice weren't too bad but it was dry.

Dearie me, this was over 6 years ago....

Running Dunlop Roadsmarts right now. They're pretty good. Could tell they were warm, steaming slightly in the pit garage between runs :thumb2
