Hi

Thought I'd give a plug for the above. If you think you may need some advanced learning TVAM provides some of the best in my humble opinion:rob

They meet every 3rd Sunday in Wokingham.

Here are some pics for the look lean and roll course which also teaches the art of countersteering. Bit wet on the day:eek:

:thumb:thumbGreat course!:thumb:thumb - did it a few years ago, and I wouldn't mind doing it again

TVAM (love of hate the IAM) is a great bike group with all sorts of bikes in attendance. They also organise other outings and 'training'. If you're in the area definitely worth a look.

Good for them. Up the road apiece, I've had a go with the anal Northants Advanced Motorcyclists & found them incredibly inward looking. They persist with some silly balancing act conework that bears no relation to real world riding yet this sounds far, far better.

May ride down and check them out, sounds intriguing.

I can not recommend TVAM highly enough, when I moved back up north the only thing I missed was TVAM!

The training was first class without the dogmatic approach the IAM is sometimes criticised for.

I was also introduced to some great roads, many with six inches of grass up the middle.

TVAM is like a factory production line ..

Join a smaller group for a more personal approach.

I agree that the St Crispins meets can be a bit busy and anonymous but its a big club.

The club is split into smaller regional groups when observers are allocated, the big meets allow you to have an observed ride from someone you have never met before and get a fresh view.

I gave up with TVAM, as they never got round to allocating me an observer, so I never got that 'regional' feel.

It's better organised than other groups in the region though.

Sounds like a good course, but come on, a beemer, be a bit more impressive on a Gixer. Way to easy on a GS....:augie

i think the Look, Lean, Roll style of teaching is from the AMSF course.

HoppRider use it at Cadwell too.

I really like it as a good clear introduction to 'proper' cornering technique. Get the body position right and it all comes together very nicely.
