Right, I bought a Rallye 2 twat suit on Saturday and wore it today for the first time, on my RT:D GS is under repair.

I found it very good, feels well made and fits very nicely. Not as warm as I had anticipated, I had the liners in but my upper arms felt a bit cool. I suppose it is only a 3 season suit, so I guess my Rukka will be in use next winter, following a diet:augie

When I bought it the sales guy at the dealers said the little hole over the left chest area was for Autocom wires:nenau Is this right? I thought it was for a drinks system, if it is which one is best and how do you route the pipe?

Well it's hard to say I put my drinking bladder in the pocket of the spine protector which seems to work and I keep the mouth piece under the ventilation flap to keep it clean.

the hole can be used for autocom but that I've just run up the side of the jacket which works fine and as I wear my auto com on a belt it's easier so I can move it from bike to bike.

hope that helps

If you see someone riding a Silver RT in a Blue Twat Suit near Jct 11, it'll be me.

The sales broucher say the hole is for the drinking tube

They are cold and become freezing when they get wet :eek

So put it in the washer with some wash in Nik Wax , it doesn't make them waterproof but stops the jacket from holding onto the rain and making you feel like your wrapped in a slusshy ice cube and when coupled with a cold wind an't good :rob

Wear mine all year round. Get a bit heavy in wet rain! But dry's out quickly. Don't get past the inner liner though. If you get caught in the wet without it in....it's like taking a shower so don't forget to take it with you!

Put and extra layer on under to stop the cool thing.

If you unzip both the waterproof AND the perforated inner jackets there is a pocket in the back for a water bladder, you will also see the velcro straps for the pipework.

For me its only a 2season suit max - like the quality but feel its a bit limited to sunny climes only :)

The TT explorers that do the write ups in their catalogue have used them for years in all sorts of climates. IIRC they recommend basically for cold and wet weather, a long sleeved thermal t-shirt, thermal fleece, goretex liner the suit comes with and then another waterproof jacket and trousers over the top of that.

Never had one of the suits, gone for the less twattish Savanna / Santiago as they use the same design philosophy, and I think I might be getting the waterproof outer as that'll increase the warmth compared to the waterproof inner.

Twat Suit

I use mine generally for 3 seasons. i find the best way to use it is to lose the goretex liner and use a lightweight waterproof jacket over the top in wet weather, and a thin down jacket or similar underneath in colder weather. Works for me!!:thumb

Yes, but that's that bloody cold UK weather. (note I didn't say pommy) I took a while to buy Beemer gear but I found a second hand, really good Savanna suit, grey. Jacket is great, pants are a bit small- I'll have to give the beer and pie diet a miss for a while. It really is much better than the normal stuff.

I use a heated vest under my twat jacket in really cold weather which gives it all year round useability.

My arms still feel cold but between the heated grips and heated vest its not excessively so
