Hi there Markblox

First of April 2004 were the first twin spark models I believe. Got a Dakar, first of the twin sparks, now done 37,500 miles on it

It was 2004. They changed the paint scheme on the dakar, the screen/beak/clocks/tail unit on both.

personally i prefer the twinspark!

It say ''2 spark'' on the cover of the Rotax engine; that way you know it when you see one.

Mine's a twin spark

spoke to the dealer today and the bike is a twin spark which is just as well for the price i'm paying! He reckons they were from 02 which isn't what I've read on here.It gets delivered on Friday and was registerd in Dec 04, has 4k on it and has ABS, heated grips and hazard warning lights. It's my first bike in 15 years and I was going to get a 1200 GSA and am on the waiting list for one of the very first, but thought hard about it and decided not to get it for a variety of reasons. I suppose I could allways sell the place.
I won't be able to use the Dakar until the 12th which is when I get the licence back.
