Tyre advice needed near Dudley

Hi all,

I am looking to replace my GS tyres in the next couple of months. I mainly ride around town and country roads and am not too confident in the wet! any suggestions or advice on where to get new tyres from and what sort would be greatly appreciated.

I the had them fitted at a local tyre fitter (Kestral tyres in Bilston) (loose wheels) for £5.00 each

Aah, the eternal tyre question! What to have?

Tourance`s a re great and pretty cheap at the moment but I`m running Conti Trail Attacks and I have to say they are superb. Was down in Wales yesterday on the Snow run and the roads were filthy and slippery to say the least. No problems whatsoever apart from nearly wearing a Golf but that`s another story.....

I would say the Conti`d are the best I`ve tried on my 1200 and I`ve had most makes. Tyers though are a matter of personal choice and all the major manufacturers are all pretty good.

Agreed, I use them on the 'Sauce' and they're feckin amazing!

If you are still looking for tyres can recommend phoning John at ATS in Telford - he has an 1150GS and has fitted both BT020s and latterly Tourances to my bike, was about the same price as Wheelhouse in Coleshill and a lot cheaper than Sticky Jims in Shifnal. Number is 01952582820
