Hi all

When i recently changed tyres to a set of tourances i noticed that they, when mounted as per arrow indication, have pattern running in opposite directions.

Checked my 1150 and same here for the anakee's

Anyone know why ? Not importent but made me wonder if there were some logic to this

Cheers

So if i understand you correct, the breaking tyre or front tyre leads water toward the center, where it needs most grip. And the rear tyre leads water away for traction. :nenau

Not quite. It's as Cookie says.

The treads on the front close up on braking unless they are that way round. The water still gets pushed outwards due to the rotational and 'pumping' forces involved.

The opposite applies to the rear - as the tyre drives the treads open rather than close, thereby maintaining the ability to clear water.
