Does anyone know if this can be used offline? It normally uses online Google Maps.

Can TYRE work directly with other map apps like Autoroute? (I know you can use Autoroute then convert .axe into .itn).

I suppose offline maps means ££££s

I use ITN Converter which is similar to Tyre, both use the Google Maps API and rely on an Internet connection for the mapping. If converting from the likes of Autoroute to ITN, or any other format, without viewing the route in the editor, ITN Converter works fine. I imagine that Tyre would be similar.

Don't know what you're intending to do, but I use Tyre with my Tomtom Rider and it has worked fine everytime.
Very easy to use and compatible with the Rider...

How can you convert AutoRoute .axe files to TomTom .itn files?

Use google map to plan your route, import to tyre, then send it to TT, we did all our European routes like this, its easy!

Thanks for all your comments, but....

...my question is about using it OFFLINE. You cannot access Google Maps offline (or can you?) so I was wondering if TYRE can be made to work with a PC-based mapping program like Autoroute.
