Just had a set of Anakees fitted yesterday, only rode back from fitters so can't comment on performance yet but I'm a bit puzzled by the way the front & rear are fitted.

The tread pattern is much the same on both tyres but the front seems to be the "wrong way round" in that the tread pattern rotates in the opposite direction to the rear, & it doesn't look like the "natural" direction of travel - the arrows on the side of each shows the direction of rotation fitting to be correct, but it looks strange - the T66's that came off were both the same tread pattern & rotated in the same direction in relation to this.

Can anyone who has / had Anakees comment on this ? I'm becoming paranoid that summats wrong!!

Oh & by the way don't all tell me I should have bought Tourances - I know they're good & T66's are sh-one-t, having used both, but fancied trying the Anakees anyway!

There was a lot on the advrider site about these . I am sure if you search there you will find all sorts of useless opinion and pics.

...by the way you should have bought Tourances :D

Anakees

Yes, it does seem strange that the tread pattern "flows" in a different direction front and rear but relax, there all like that, not just yours!!!. I've now had two rear Anakee's and one front and will be fitting a new pair soon. they are a vast improvement over the T66's and can't be far behind the Tourances - if at all , remember, the people who say you should have bought Tourances have probably never tried Anakee's and are basing opinions on T66 experiences? Thanks Gecko

AdvRider showed some pic's & sure enough the two tread patterns do seem to go on diametrically opposed. Suppose you've got gecko foot hairs on your Tourances to make 'em even stickier, hmm, always thought geckos were reptiles anyway!
