For those of you that have been Morocco and done some of the off road tracks; sand sections and fesh fesh.. What tyres did you have? Did you use your standard Tourances, or did you fit knobblies?

TKC80's are best and more confidence inspiring but Tourances would cope with most situations.

TKC80's 'may' offer better protection from punctures caused by cuts from sharp rocks. But don't be alarmed at the initial wear rate.

Take a tyre plugger repair kit and pump.

tkc 80s

We're probably riding all down through france and spain: How are the tkc's for fairly speedy tarmac riding?

I went Plymouth/Santander, down thru Spain, Algeciras/Ceuta, down thru Fez, Errachida, Erfoud/Merzouga, back up past Todra Gorge, Ouazzazate, Marrakesh, Meknes, Ceuta/Algeciras, back up to Santander in May.

All on one set of TKC80's. No problems whatsoever.

Have a somewhat gentle throttle hand and you'll be fine. Be quick/violent with the wrist all the time and that's what wears them out.

Motorway speeds off the motorways on Spanish roads were no issue with the tyres either :D
